June 30th Day 12 of our Alaska 2015 trip

The internet has been down right bad for the last 7 days.  We are currently at Ft. Nelson BC and will be stay the night here before heading up to Laird Hot springs and on to Watson Lake sign Post, with a stop in Whitehorse for 3 nights.
So here are a few pictures of what we have been doing.
This is one of those spots you just have to have a picture with the one you love, Lake Louise, AB
We road the gondola at Lake Louise and seen 7 Grizzly while going up, here are a couple of pictures of them.

The other two were in the woods and could not get a good shot of them.  The people running the ski park here said this was amazing see this many bears.  It has been pretty hot the last few days here at Banff.  Here are a couple of real mean animals we seen near our trailer while at the park.
You should see them when ever the dogs would come out, they would whistle real load.

Lake Louise at the top of the gondola ride.  The mountains in the Canadian Rocky's are truly breath taking.

We are now at the Columbia Ice-fields, and what a trip, the roads were great and the parking lot was ours to spend the night in.
That afternoon we head out to the ice fields!!!

You would think by the way everyone is dressed it might be a little cool.  Not for me, I am still wearing shorts ans a T-shirt,
and drinking some of that great glacier water.  Everyone enjoyed the trip out to the glacier, the ride was the most fun.
Our next stop was the ski walk that is brand new and opened last year.

We even got to see a couple of sheep.
and Cyndy had help walking around the ski walk, I don't think she looked down much.
We are hoping to see a few more animals tomorrow and while heading north to Alaska.  And when we get internet next time more pictures.

June 21st

We are up to day 5 of our Alaska Trip, and the internet has not been good so here goes with some pictures of what has been going on.
Day one orientation and dinner:
Cyndy & Linda are making sure everything is set for our fist dinner with our guest.
Yes, we have a photo bomber in this group!!!!
We serived pulled pork, backed beans, and coleslaw, one of our guest brought doubled eggs, because at the boarder there is no raw chicken or eggs allowed in Canada.
It looks like everyone got plenty to eat.  By now you may be wondering where are all the men?  This trip is called RVing Women to Alaska, and there is one other couple with us.  Bob calls himself the token man, because Ted & Wil are required to be here.  It is a great group and we are having a lot of fun.
Our first bus ride and we are heading to Remington Carriage Museum and then on to Head Smashing in Buffalo Jump.
Here are a few pictures from the Carriage Museum, if you are ever near this place it is a must stop.  They have hundreds of different types of carriages.

We even got to go on a 20 minute carriage ride.  Next stop is the Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump.

THis young lady was very good about telling us about her people and how they went about getting the Buffalo and how they used all of the parts of them to live on.  Another must see place.

This display shows how ther drove the buffalo off the cliffs.
It was a packed full day but we have one more thing for the guest and that is Dinner and a country how down.
This is at the campground we were staying at called the "Great Canadain Barn Dance & Family Campground".  They put on a great meal and the entertainment was really good.

This is a family band and both of there kids can play up to 5 different instruments and do it very well.  We have watched these boys grow up over the years coming here and they are really great.
Yesterday we headed towards Calgary, AB for our next stop and here are a few pictures of the road trip.

I didn't know if they were going to move or not, but as we slowed way DOWN they parted and let us threw.
On our way we stopped at Fort Macleod a great place to learn a little bit more about the Mounted Police.

Well that is about all the time I have today, on our way to the Heritage Park Tour here in Calgary.   More to come when we have internet.

June 14th

This morning we woke up to a nice cool morning of just above 55 degrees.  It has been warm the last few days we have been here, in the morning it has been just about 65 degrees by 8:00 AM.  It was really nice, I like this type of weather when it does not get above 75 degrees by the end of the day.
When we got up this morning we had 4 guest rigs here.  About 3:00 PM this afternoon two more rigs showed up and then by 5:00 PM two more made it in.  We have two more rigs to go and everyone is here.  It is a great bunch of people and looking forward to traveling with them.  They all have a great sense of humor.
This morning when it was cool and the boys were looking for the warmest place in the rig.  During the morning hours the sun keeps this side of the rig warm, but today with the clouds out it took a while for the sun to come up, but they waited for it.  They are really getting along pretty good.  Turbo is the boss and he lets Spike know that, but every once in a while Spike puts his two cents in.
When the race was started I went out side to cook up the hamburgers for a meal up in Dawson Creek.  We have a way of making the hamburgers warmed up and tasting better then right off the grill.  It was nice way to spend the afternoon watching the race and cooking .  It has to be two of the favorite things I like to do.
While cooking the boys were playing.

These two go at it for about a half hour then they both just lay around like the picture above when they are sleeping.  If I didn't know better I would think they had been together since they were pups.  Tomorrow will be another great day no rain in the future weather reports and it is only going to get to the high 70's.
