October 8

Yesterday we left Santa Rosa for our long drive to Sacramento with a stop at the Jelly Belly.
It was a lot of fun seeing how they make Jelly Beans of every kind.
A few of our guest have already went thru the tour and enjoying a Jelly Belly lunch.
This is President Reagan's favorite place, he got all of his Jelly Beans from here.

One of our guest is sitting with Cyndy just before we start the tour.  We could not take any pictures during the tour so I couldn't get any pictures of them making there world famous Jelly Belly's.  It was a great tour and we were off to our Campground at Sac West in Sacramento.
Today we went on a bus tour of Historic Old Sacramento, Tour State Capitol and Rose Garden, Rose Garden and our final stop is the Discovery Museum.  It was a busy day with a lot of history of the area.
This was a statue of the pony express that help settle this area.  There are a lot of building that they have restored her in the Old Town of Sacramento.
Our next stop was the Capital building.

They say this bear has more viris on it then anything in the capital building, with the hundreds of kids that come by and touch it every day.  You can't see it but just down from Joe is a hand-sanitizer on the wall. This was giving by a pass governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as a gift to the state.  After a short walk we were in the Rose garden.

This is for all the Fire Fights here in California.
This next memorial really hits home. it list all of the solders that lost their lives in Vietnam  conflicted.  I think the pictures say everything.

Our next stop was back to Old town for lunch and the Railroad History Museum.
Everyone is heading toward the Railroad History Museum.

They have one of the biggest displays of trains I have ever seen.

This is one of two of the biggest trains ever built, the picture below shows how big each of the wheels are.

This is one of the biggest trains ever built.
Cyncy is standing by one of the wheels to show you the mass of this machine.
We were here for 2 hours it it still was not enough time to see everything and explore all of the cars.
Look at the weight of this machine over 1,051,000 LBS.
From here we went to the Discovery Museum to learn about the the history of Old Town.
It was neattour but would of liked more time at the last one.

Tomorrow is a free day for the guest and we can get somethings done that need looking at.  We have added 2 more rigs to our group here, and we are currently at 23 rigs and having a great time.
