March 31st

It has been a long time coming but I had a few minutes and wanted to post a short note on what we have been doing.  I know I try to be a little bit more on top of this but we have been bust and it has been hot, so I complain a lot too.  But anyway we have been busy.

We went out for a ride the other day with a few people.  It was nice to follow someone to and area we haven’t been to before.  We found the telephone booth so we will be back to get some pictures in the next couple of weeks.  We had some friends stop by and say hello.  Woody & Donna spent the night here and we took them to the unveiling of the new Tecate   4 seater here at the Salton City.  They really like having a party for any reason.  Anyway we didn’t get to visit with Woody and Donna much, but I did take Woody out for a little ride in the RZR, I hope he enjoyed it. We are looking forward to seeing them when we get back to Washington.

Speaking of Washington, we have been told that by the 30^th of April we will be able to start heading back to Washington.  But if the weather gets much hotter and the business drop of we may leave a little earlier.  It will be nice to get back and see the grand kids along with our kids and friends.  Well it is getting late and another day here at the Salton City coming to an end.   I am going to try and make time tomorrow to post some pictures of our trip out in the desert the other day.

March 31st

March 18th

It’s hard to believe that we are already back at Salton City and worked 2 days.  Our weekend started today at a little after noon.  Cyndy and I are both looking forward to just sitting back and relaxing a little.  We were on the go so much last week it was hard to even slow down for a minute and enjoy life.  But now looking back on what we did it was great.  We spent time with some great friends and family members.

Cyndy is planning on just getting some of our laundry done tomorrow while relaxing a lot.  Me I have some bikes that I told customers that I would get their bikes ready for next weekend so I am going into work for a half day anyway.  It is hard to believe that in just a little less than 6 weeks and we will be heading out of the desert.  It just seems like we just got here a couple of months ago.  We will head back to Washington for a couple of weeks than we will be going to Coos Bay for the summer to play and work on the coast.  I am looking forward to it but I think Cyndy would rather have more time at home with the grand kids.

Today when we were doing our weekly shopping we stopped by Wal-Mart, and as some of you know it is a nice place to park for an overnight stay while making time between stops if you need it.

Yes this is really a RV, I seen two people come and go while waiting for Cyndy to come out of the store.  At least they don't have their lawn chairs out side.  It is one of those once in a life time RV spotting's that you can't help but take a second look.
We are planning on going out in the desert if it doesn't get to hot.  Yes, it has already been up to 92 degrees this spring.  I hope it cools down a little bit.  It is almost to hot to go riding!!!!

March 15thy

It seems like everyone made it through RD's birthday unscratched and feeling really pretty good.  Heard, RD was up and eating a big breakfast and ready to go out to Hollywood for a day of playing.  We were also going to Hollywood, so after a good breakfast and everyone moving off we went.  Dennis and I meet for breakfast at the dinner the girls were not hungry from what they told us.

OK, so Rose need a snake when we got to Hollywood.  It has been on the cool side while here in Disney World the last couple of days, but I hear tomorrow it is support to warm back up.  Yep, we leave tomorrow so that is pair for the course.

Rose found here love of life, and they say it is always warm in Florida, then why is this snow man still standing.

We went on a few rides and shows while in Hollywood, one being Lights, Motors, Action.  This was a great show on how they do stunts with very fast cars.  I think Dennis and I enjoyed this one more then the girls.  We also seen Indiana Jones and Star Wars Tour.  I can't remember what else we seen but what a day.  It seems like it goes by way to fast.

We did notice one thing here at Disney, they like their Cola products, like $2.75 for a 20 OZ bottle.  But when you want a cola you pay!!!!

We had a great time here at Disney World, but the time went by way to fast.  It was great spending time with Dennis & Rose along with the Prewitt family.  Ronnie you and your family are great and we Love you guys a lot.  Thanks for inviting us to RD's 21st birthday party.  We would never of missed it. 
Tomorrow we get up and start the process of heading back to the West Coast.

March 14th

Today we celebrate RD's Birthday here at Epcot Center.  He wanted to drink his way around Epcot and we are going to help him.  The first thing we have to do is get a good breakfast down everyone.  Their are 43 of us here to help RD in his task today.

Annie & Ronnie put on a great breakfast for everyone, I think they had a little help but it was great.

Cyndy & Rose are getting their baby fix today!!!!  Poor baby doesn't know which one is holding her!!!

March 13th

I don't know what I was thinking when I said yesterday lets go downtown Disney thins morning then head out to Animal Kingdom.  We were off to Downtown for breakfast and planning our day of what we were going to do.  The minute we got to downtown we came across the Disney Christmas store and everything we planned to do went out the door.  But before we let them in the Disney Christmas Store we had to eat!!!!  You know that is my best hobby!!!

I don't like making a statement all the time but this has to be one of those days for me and Donald!!!
We did a couple of hours of shopping around Downtown Disney before we headed out to Animal Kingdom to see what that is all about.  Someone forgot to tell us that everyone else was going to Animal Kingdom also, boy was this place packed.

It was a little bit warmer today, but not much.  We walked around a lot and didn't see much today.

I think this is what they call a living plant behind Cyndy & Rose, hope they new this before she gets them!!!!

As you can see there all all kinds of animals in graved in the trunk of this tree.  See how many animals you can see in just this one picture?

There is snow in Florida, I just don't know how they keep it on the mountain down here, but Disney does have Magic!!!

We even made it to Dinosaur area, but Cyndy and Rose still wanted to shop so off we go!!!

We had a good day all and all, we went back downtown for the girls shopping spree and eating dinner.  Yeah, my favorite hobby, you got to love eating!!!
Tomorrow we are heading to Epcot Center for RD's birthday party, should be a great day.

March 11th & 12th

We have had a very busy two days, one being a lot of traveling and the other having a great time playing in Disney World.  Lets start with Monday, we were up and on the road by 3:00 AM, yes their are two of them in a day.  We got to the Palm Springs airport with know problem and load on the plane.  That is when things started to go a little bit south.  We got on the runway and the pilot said we need to wait a few minutes before we can take off because they are turning the approach to LA a different direction, but we should be close to our correct time of arrival.  Should I tell you that when we land at LA we have a half hour to get to our next flight and we don't know the gate yet.  OK, we can still make it.  Then we land in LA and now we are 15 minutes late, OK we still have 15 minutes to get to our next flight.  But wait we have to stay on the tar mat for an extra 15 minutes waiting to finish our taxi to our stop.  Now we have a problem Houston!!!!!
We get off the plan check on our next flight and where e have to go.  Great our next flight is not even at the terminal yet, good we got time to pee and get something to eat we hope!!! Then with in 10 minutes it changes to now final loading and we are still 5 minutes away, all in all we made the flight and were on our way to Florida from LA with not to much of a heart attack. 

We are in Florida, good by plane and on to Disney World to play.

Sorry for the bad picture but Walt Disney really had one thing he was hoping everyone would think when they came here and that was "Where Dreams Come True" you just have to believe in this!!! 

Old Key West is where we are staying, we have a real nice room and a view right out over a golf course.  Wish I had brought the clubs, but would not have time to play anyway.

We meet Ronnie and his family, boy are those kids growing.  Adam is getting to be such a big kid, be is going to make a great football player. Alex & Sara are growing like little weeds.  Sara came up up to Cyndy and really made her feel great by calling her great grandma Cyndy!!!!  We talked for a while and they were off to Hollywood and we were just going to take it easy and maybe go over to Downtown Disney.

We took the boat over to Downtown, we had a nice ride and this balloon ride, Cyndy said no way am I going up in that.

We have never been downtown beforeand it was a neat place to walk around.  A lot of great places to eat and shop, but these lego's were neat displays.

We headed back to Old Key West because we need to meet some real great people.

Cyndy's cousin Rose & Dennis, this is neat we get to play in this wonderful park together.  We had a late dinner snack and headed off to bed after a long day of flying.  I think the both couples were really tired, they had a difficult flight also but that's a another story all by it;s self.
Tuesday on to Magic Kingdom.

Rain well not dampen our spirits because we are all from Washington and it rains there a lot.  We did a lot of shop looking and watching people.  We did a couple of rides and by mid day it had stopped raining.

Tried to get Cyndy & Rose to stand next to these wood carvings but they said know way, you can see the steam coming out of there ears but not the water coming out of there mouth.  They said it was already to wet around here.

We did a few other rides and had a great time walking around the park.

We do have to eat, so we took a short break before the parade of lights in Magic Kingdom.

What a day of exitement and time with great freinds, but it is late and time to hit the rack.  More to come tomorrow, don't know what park we are going to but it will be fun.  Thrusday is when we celebrate RD's birthday with a drinking trip around Epcot Center, should be fun!!!!
