Historic Eastern Seaboard Day 21

Today is a free day for us to do what ever we would like to do.  We had coffee first thing in the morning and then said good by to a two couples that were leaving today.  On had a 50 year class reunion in Arizona on Friday of this week and the other was heading back to California before heading to Mexico.  We then got in the truck and headed to the subway parking area so we could head downtown.
We got on the subway at College Park to head downtown.
Look out subway here we come.
We are standing in the middle of the National Mall heading towards the Washington Monument.
This is the building Cyndy was looking for so she could get the Passport Book Stamped.  She was in their for 20 minutes, then I found out the all the stamps for the National Monument were here.
We walked by the World War II Memorial
Our last stop on the Mall was Lincoln Monument.  Cyndy really enjoyed this and it is one of my favor's, too.

They are redoing the reflection pond.
Vietnam Memorial, by the time we got back past the Washington Monument our feet were killing us and we thought we would stop by the Smithsonian Museum.
Cyndy wanted to see the
Hope Diamond, I haven't figured out why, it just looks like some old rock!!!
She said that she didn't want one, something about it being to big!!!!
And here comes our subway to get us back to the truck, YAH!!!!!
