July 13th Day 27 of Alaska Tour

We have been busy and are now sitting in Fairbanks Alaska.  So I am going to go back and show you a few pictures of what we have been doing.
Here is our group at Mile "0" of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek.  What a good looking group, and we are having a great time.
. The road between Dawson Creek & Fort Nelson were pretty good.  Every once in a while we could see the smoke from fires in the distance.
Here is one of our guest after driving some of the gravel roads between Fort Nelson & Liard Hot Springs.  The roads are becoming a little rough in spots. but all and all the road is pretty good.
We even seen some rock sheep or Dahl Sheep as some of the people call them.

This guy is at least growing a new horn.
While at the Hot Springs we were able to see some Timber Bison.  If you look close the smoke was pretty thick here at the Hot Springs.
Yep, that is smoke, but we never seen any fires.
During one of our stops we noticed this black bear along side the road.
We made it to the Yukon!!!!!
Our next stop was Watson lake and the Sign Forest. Here is our group under one of the signs we put up.
I am the one standing on top of the ladder were I should not be, putting the signs up as high as I could reach.  No problem got them both up and did the same for our group sign.

These were a couple of signs from our past caravans.
After Watson Lake we were on our way to Whitehorse, for a couple of days to explore and rest.
Here the guys are fixing breakfast for our great group of Women.
When we left Whitehorse we had a hard 7.5 hour drive day to Dawson City.  If any of you have drive this section of the Highway you know whatthese cones and flags mean "FROST HEAVES", and they can creep up on you real fast.
Look Dawson City that way!!!!
We made it with good weather and sunshine in our face.
The night we got to Dawson City we went to Midnight Dome for a beautiful view on Smoke in the distance.  Yes, we are heading towards that smoke on our trip over the Top of the World road.

Here we are loading the Ferry for the trip across the Yukon River and up the Top of the World Highway.
OK, one down and 13 more rigs to go!!!
At the very top we had a lot of FOG and Smoke, whice made it a very hard to see the road.

What is this payment at the TOp of the World Highway, you got it, from the boarder to about 13 miles down the mountain it is paved.  Then it turns back into mud and dirt and pot holes all the way to Chicken.

I think these picture do not need much said.
We had a goofy hat contest at Chicken and these were our winners.
We arrived in TOK, Alaska and everyone got together to wash the mud off of our rigs, it went pretty well and only took us a couple of hours.  Great job women.
Here they are waiting there turn and helping everyone as they waited.
We made it to Delta Junction the end of the Alaska Highway, it feels good to finlly be back on good roads again!!!
We made it to Fairbanks and have been busy on tours the last few day.  Today was the first of two free days for the guest.  We have been busy serving them coffee in the morning.  In another day we head to Denali and am looking forward to our trip into the park.  Hope to have some good pictures and will try and get more picture posted and a little bit more often.
