July 26th Day 40 of our Alaska Trip

This morning we got to sleep in to the piter pater of rain on our coach.  I was hoping the weatherman was wrong, but this morning he it it right on the button with 100% chance of rain.  Today we were doing a trip out into the Kenai Fjords Glacier & Wildlife Lunch Cruise.  As we were loading the bus for the marina it stopped raining, Yah!!! As we were loading the boat it still was not raining, but as we left the harbor all hell broke lose with a lot of rain.  I was hoping we would have a good trip.  As we were leaving the harbor they served us lunch, Salmon & Prim Rib along with all the fixings.  When we were finishing eating the rain stopped and what a day we had, here are a few pictures of our trip today.
Our tailgunners Ted & Linda wondering what they are in for this time.
Ok everyone it has stopped raining, lets go out side and see what everyone is looking at.
We spotted this young Bald Eagle and right next to this one was its parant

This was another set of them we seen.

They are just neat to find like this.
We went a little farther and here we found a Humpback Whale.

We only seen a little bit of this ones tail.

Here we seen a lot of tail!!!!

The park ranger that was on the boat said that the Stellar Seals were on the decline in this area, but just south of us they are doing great.  The do not no what is causing the decline.
This one went for a swim.
Hay who forgot to trun on the heater!!!
Look out guys I am coming back the water is still to cold.
Here we spotted a Otter with her young.

Wait a minute where did that other one come from!!!

 We found some mountain sheep.

This bunker was out at the mouth of the Kenai Fjord, and used during World War II.  I really don't think I would like to be out here for two or three weeks.

Yes the ladies were dressed warm but enjoyed the day, we seen a lot of wildlife and we had no RAIN!!!!!
Tomorrow is a free day and the following day Tuesday we head for Palmer, Alaska.
