Day 13

We have been very lucky with the weather this last week.  Today is another picture prefect day to start our visit to the Arches National Park.
Cyndy and I know of a few other guest spend some time here at the visitor center getting their passport books stamped and visiting the gift shop.
Can you see the sheep sleeping on top of this rock?  As we started into Arches this was one of the first rocks that we seen.
Arches National Park have over 2000 arches from small windows to the 291 foot span of Landscape Arch have been counted.  And no! we did not find all 2000 of them.
THis one is called Balancing Rock, I think they just keep using up way to much supper glue to keep this one in place.
This is called Delicate Arch, this Arch is used on all of the Utah's state licence plates, and is one of the most photographed arches in Arches National Park.  If you look real close you will see part of our group that hiked up to the Arch.
This is a group picture of the ones that made the so called gradual climb to Delicate Arch.  Now if you were to talk to some of them they would dispute that clam of gradual climb, but I am not sure which ones though.
I just want to let you know a few of us tried to climb the short route, which was a climb of 200 feet almost straight up.  But after a climb of 200 feet we said that was to much.
Jeff and Nancy did real good and we had to give them a high 5 for the climb.
Here are a few more pictures from the Arches area.

Everyone had a great day and looking forward to tomorrows trip to Canyon-lands National Park.
