Day 14

What a trip we have been on, all of the National Parks we have been to already and more to come.  Today we headed out to Canyon Lands National Park.  This weekend was the celebration of 50 years being a National Park.

There are three entrances into the Canyon Lands National Park and today we headed to Island in the Sky, the other two are the Mesa & Needles area of the park.

It was a little bit of a drive, but we carpooled it out to the very end of the park.

Grand View Point is a place here in the park were on a clear day you can see Needles and the Mesa areas in the park.

If you look real close up in the upper right hand corner you might be able to see the needles area.

We even had time to get another great group picture a couple of people were missing but this is most of our wonderful group.
It was another wonderful day, the sky's were blue and weather great, a little warm but not bad.
Cyndy and I found some more pictographs just about 7 miles from were we are staying.

This is one of the areas where their are a lot of them about 20 to 30 feet up the rocks.  At least the public has not defaced these.

Mo & Mary told us of a small mouse with a big furry tail bothering them during lunch.  I think I got a good picture of the cooperate that may have been sealing their food.  If anyone see this guy please inform the correct authority's.    Day 15 is a free day and a few of the guest are going on a Jet Boat ride up the river.
