Day 24 & 25

We were up early on Day 24.  We were heading to the docks to catch the boat for Rainbow Arch.  By 7:00 AM we were walking on to the boat for a tour of Glen Lake and then on to Rainbow Drive.
As we left the docks their were hundreds of house boats every where. It looks like a big RV Park, but on the water.
Glen Lake is down about 90 feet, they are not sure if it will ever fill up again.  But the captain did say that at the start of summer it was up 4 feet.  Here are a few pictures of the rock formations that we went by on our way to Rainbow Arch.

As we got closer to Rainbow Arch the water way gets just a little narrow.  Then it opens up to a big pool with a dock.  I think the dock was a 1/4 mile long.  Back many moons ago the boat was able to get with in a few hundred feet.  Now we have to walk about 1 1/2 miles one way, up hill to make it to the arch.
Look all the happy smiles, we are in shade for a few minutes. Almost there!!!!!!!!
We must be getting closer we can see the arch.
Hay, folks we can see the ARCH!!!
Found the sign now were is it!!!!!
What a view, wait a minute you mean we have another, 1/8 mile to go so we can stand under it.
Everyone that hiked up to the arch made it and it was well worth it.  Just think about 15 or so years ago the boat was up this close.
On Day 25 we drove to Williams, AZ for tomorrows ride to the Grand Canyon South Rim by way of the train.  It will be a great trip, we get a dome car for everyone to ride in.  Lots of great views !!!!!!
